Teapots

From the time I was a young child until I moved out at age 21, every morning my dad would bring me a cup of tea to wake me up in the morning-twinnings earl grey, lots of milk, one sugar. Years later, this is still my favourite tea! And I still argue that there is no better way to start a day!

I am a huge fan of vintage teapots. Especially ones with no chips! Although I have a beautiful old japanese tea set, it can be very difficult to find older teapots with no cracks or chips. That is one reason that some of my favourite vintage teapots are copper. Copper has been used for about 3000 years for teapots and pans, and other cooking needs. The nice thing about copper is that it does not chip very easily and it has a beautiful rustic look.

Here are a few decorative ones from my collection.

Beautiful pots, Sarah! I love the colour of copper. In the cool winter weather I cannot think of another nicer than a hot cup of tea to put a little warmth back into your bones.

Love your posts!
